A New Year for the Durst Family

This last year is now over, and a lot happened. I ended up in the hospital for about two weeks. I also spent Easter week in the hospital, and it was not fun! We are hoping this year, I don't end up in the hospital again. Despite the set backs it was a great year! I said goodbye to a couple of my wonderful aides and welcomed in a couple more! One of the highlights of my last year was the volunteering I was able to participate in. I volunteered at the Dinosaur Museum, where I helped out when there was field trips. I also continued volunteering at the Food and Care and Coalition. I help every day at lunch serving about 80-90 guests. In my spare time I have gone skiing a lot of Saturday's during the winter and some rock climbing. I also  was able to run in a lot of 5k's with my parents this last year and I have loved every one of them. This new year has brought on new opportunities, one of which is my new volunteer job at the Provo Rehab and nursing home. I have got to meet some wonderful people there and I have loved helping out with their activities. I look forward to helping out there for a long time. I am so happy to be alive in this beautiful world, and have a loving family and some great friends. I plan to make the most of each day this year!
